Privacy in one sentence
Lights Out does not create an account, show advertising, use an analytics SDK, or send your schedule, Tomorrow Queue note, app activity, website activity, or Screen Time history to a Lights Out server in the submitted Solo version.
Information stored on your iPhone
Lights Out stores your work-end and morning-return times, protection and permission state, pending schedule changes, optional Tomorrow Queue sentence, and technical state needed to apply and remove the scheduled shield. This information is stored locally in the app’s private App Group container and is not transmitted to the developer.
Screen Time permission
Lights Out requests access to Apple’s Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks. The permission is used to schedule and apply your chosen app and website boundary. The submitted Solo version does not send app names, website names, or Screen Time usage histories to the developer.
You can revoke Screen Time access in iPhone Settings. If access is revoked, Lights Out cannot provide its protection and shows that protection is off when the app opens.
Notifications
Notifications are optional. If enabled, Lights Out schedules one local reminder before your selected boundary. The notification is generated on your iPhone. The developer does not receive its content or delivery history.
Apple services and subscriptions
App downloads, subscriptions, payment information, and diagnostic information you elect to share with Apple are handled by Apple under its own terms and privacy practices. Lights Out uses StoreKit to check the local App Store entitlement for Lights Out Complete. It does not operate a payment server or receive payment-card information.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on the device while it is needed to provide the app. Uninstalling Lights Out removes its locally stored app data according to iOS behaviour. The Solo version has no developer-operated account or server storage, so there is no separate server account to delete.
Children
Lights Out is marketed as a personal work-boundary utility. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the submitted Solo version.
Changes
This policy may change if the app’s features or information practices change. The effective date above will be updated before a release that adds data collection, analytics, accounts, cloud services, Mac coordination, or Guardian features.
